Road Approach Permit
This permit is for approach installation onto public roadways. Click here to see all requirements and to download the road approach permit.

Utility Permit
This permit is used only for installation or maintenance of utilities within County road right-of-way. To access the Utility Permit click here.
Utility Permit Directions:
- Print permit
- Complete permit with all applicable information
- Attach a map showing location of desired work
- Ensure work meets all conditions of permit
- Sign and submit permit with map to Burleigh County Highway Dept
- Acceptable delivery methods: Mail, Email, Fax or In Person
Note: Permit is not valid until it has been signed by County Engineer and returned to applicant.

Right-of-Way Permit
This permit is for all work performed in County road right-of-way, excluding utility installation or maintenance and road approach installation (see above for Utility Permit and Road Approach Permit).

- Attach a map showing location of desired work
- Ensure work meets all conditions of permit

Oversize/Overweight Permit
This permit is for movement of oversize/overweight vehicles/loads on Burleigh County roadways. To access the Oversize/Overweight Permit click here.

- Sign and submit permit to Burleigh County Highway Dept
- Acceptable delivery methods: Mail, Email, Fax or In Person
